Key

Responsibilities – Ophthalmology Diagnose and manage eye conditions, including refractive errors, cataracts, glaucoma, retinal disorders, and ocular infections Perform ophthalmic surgical procedures, including cataract surgery and other microsurgical interventions Conduct comprehensive eye examinations, including visual acuity testing, slit-lamp examination, and fundoscopic evaluation Interpret and utilize advanced diagnostic tools, such as optical coherence tomography (OCT), visual field testing, and retinal imaging Manage chronic ophthalmic conditions, including glaucoma and diabetic retinopathy Provide pre-operative assessment and post-operative care for surgical patients Collaborate with optometrists, endocrinologists, neurologists, and other specialists for multidisciplinary care Provide patient education on eye health, vision care, and preventive strategies Maintain accurate clinical documentation and electronic medical records in compliance with regulatory standards Participate in clinical audits, quality improvement initiatives, and ophthalmology programs Ensure adherence to international ophthalmology guidelines and UAE healthcare regulations

Qualifications & Board Recognition American Board of Ophthalmology UK CCT / FRCOphth / MRCOphth Royal College Certification (Canada) Australian Fellowship Arab Board in Ophthalmology MS / MD / DNB / FCPS Ophthalmology or equivalent recognised specialist qualification Candidates must meet eligibility
