Bus Driver Responsible for ensuring the safe transportation of students to and from school following established routes and safety protocols.

Responsibilities Operate the school bus safely and responsibly, adhering to traffic laws and regulations. Ensure the safety of students during transit, including the use of seat belts and other safety measures. Follow designated bus routes and schedules to pick up and drop off students at assigned locations. Notify the transportation coordinator of any deviations or delays in the route. Perform routine pre‑trip and post‑trip inspections of the school bus.

Report any mechanical issues or concerns promptly to the transportation coordinator. Maintain a safe and orderly environment on the bus. Enforce bus rules and discipline students as needed, reporting behavioral issues to school authorities. Communicate effectively with students, parents, and school staff. Report any incidents or concerns related to students’ well‑being during transportation.

Be prepared to respond to emergencies, including evacuations and first aid if necessary. Attend training sessions on emergency procedures and protocols. Keep accurate records of daily routes, mileage, and any incidents that occur during transportation. Submit required reports to the transportation coordinator. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with appropriate endorsements. Completion of a school bus driver training program.
